Getting
Our Houses in Order
Newsweek Letters to the
Editor
June 21, 2004
have been a professional organizer for more than 25 years, and
have always been dismayed by the "clean sweep" type of approach
that seems to value the quick fix. The truth is, different people
have different natural styles of organization, and unless you
take this fact into consideration, solutions will never be long-lasting.
Too often, people are made to feel like failures for simply being
unable to maintain systems or use products that are just not compatible
with their preferred way of doing things.
